WEAVING THROUGH LIFE

This series was inspired by Indonesia. It started with common wooden bowls that I found in an open market in Ubud. I wanted to give these simple bowls another life, transforming them into little temples.

I covered them with gold, silver and bronze leaf, embellished them with found little treasures, and collaged them with pictures of traditional Indonesian fabric patterns. 

Much like in the Short Story series, I once again made small shrines of memories...
